Cloisters is a wonderful Tearoom/Cafe just up from the English bridge in Shrewsbury. It is owned by a lady called Helen and members of her family help her rum this outstanding Tearoom/Cafe. It is a traditional old fashioned Tearoom of yesteryear and I half expected to find Miss Marple sitting round a corner drinking tea from the bone china teacup and saucer which tea is served in all day. How wonderful and the only place is Shrewsbury to do this. The cakes are wonderful and a much better choice than any of the other places in the town.
She cooks and bakes absolutely everything and the CLOTTED CREAM TEA is quite simply the best I have ever tasted. Far better than any I have ever had in Cornwall.
The English Breakfast is GREAT VALUE for money, no cheap baked beans only quality produce is used in everything.
She even does a wide range of GLUTEN FREE food not just omlettes and Jacket Potatoes. She bakes her own Gluten Free Bread and my Wife say that her Gluten Free cake is heavenly and is a must try for any peroson who is Gluten intollerant. 10/10 all at Cloisters.
