Scarborough is the east coast of Yorkshire’s biggest resort, and provides a good mix of historic buildings and seaside amusements. Scarborough Castle has a lofty vantage point some 300 ft above the harbour, and like many buildings around the old harbour, dates from the medieval period, while North and South Bays are bustling with the usual coastal resort attractions like the Sea Life Centre and Atlantis.
