Recently stayed at the Chatsworth and while I appreciate that it was just £55 per room per night, the accommodation is cramped and dirty. The bathroom floor carpet was perpetually wet and the room and bedding smelt old and musty. The room itself was painted a dirty white everywhere, with an old bathroom suite. There was a shower, but trying to maintain an even temperature was impossible - so it was either scalding hot or freezing cold. The towels were small and threadbare. The breakfast consisted of a help yourself table, with two toasters and a loaf of bread, or crumpet or muffin, un-branded tea or coffee and watered down orange juice. Complaints to management went largely unheeded, with a "what do you expect" attitude. Have stayed in much nicer B&Bs for the same money or very little extra.
