Middlewood Farm Holiday Park 

We took our touring van to this site at bank holiday weekend and it was horrendous! They opened up 3 fields for tents and we counted 240 tents sharing the very limited toilet facilities with 20 tourers. There were queues to use the toilets and showers and no time to keep them clean. (Luckily we had our own facilities - but didn't expect to have to use them on a 5 star site).

All the campers' cars had to pass right in front of our van - it was like being parked on a main road. If we hadn't arranged to meet people, we would not have stayed. We complained and were given a partial refund -but our weekend was already ruined.

The site is well positioned and I'm sure on a quiet week we would have had a different experience, but I think the owner was out to make as much money as possible over the weekend and he certainly achieved that aim!
