Travel to Northumbria & Tyneside in the North East of England by air, rail, road or sea is easy from across the UK and overseas.

Newcastle Airport is ideally located to fly to Tyne & Wear. Together, the region’s local airport at Newcastle, nearby Leeds/ Bradford and Teesside International offer hundreds of domestic and international flights. The major British International hub airports at Birmingham and Manchester are only a few hours drive away.

The ports at Newcastle and nearby Hull offer regular ferries, sailing to Holland and Scandinavia, making ferry travel to and from mainland Europe an easy option.

National Express coaches pick up and drop off at stations in Newcastle, Berwick, Sunderland and other stops across Northumberland and Tyne & Wear.

Excellent road and rail networks make train travel and driving from London to Newcastle and Northumbria both quick and uncomplicated. The east coast rail mainline has fast intercity trains to Newcastle, while the A1 and A19 dual carriageways are fast roads to the north-east of England.
