Newcastle station is located just a few minutes’ walk of the city centre. This mainline station is on the Great North East Railway line. Regular direct trains run to London, Edinburgh and the rest of the UK.

This is a staffed station and tickets and information can be obtained from the booking office, open 04:30 to 21:00 Monday to Friday, 06:00 to 21:00 Saturday and Sunday.
