Goole Travel Guide

Surprisingly for a town that actually lies 40 miles from the North Sea, Goole was a very important dock in the 19th century. The Waterway Museum is a good source of information on this era, and one of the famous 'Tom Pudding' hoists that used to lift barges onto container ships stands over the docks, and has been preserved as a listed building.
