If time is no object and it is a complete view of Nidderdale that you are after, try the 53-mile round trip of the Nidderdale Way, which starts and ends in the gorgeous village of Pateley Bridge and takes in both sides of the picturesque valley.
Pateley Bridge is renowned for its floral displays and has a decidedly quaint air about it offering olde worlde pubs and country tearooms alongside craft centres and specialist shops. The Nidderdale show is held here every September and the Nidderdale Museum is to be found in King Street.
To the west of the town are Stump Cross Caverns, where you will see amazing subterranean displays of limestone stalagmites and stalactites in one of the country’s most impressive show caves.
