Middleham is a lovely little town within the Yorkshire Dales; it has a beautiful castle, which was the favourite of King Edward III, whose son Edward died here. The town features many fine 18th century buildings, as well as an extremely attractive castellated bridge.
If you're a lover of cheese you must take a trip to the Wensleydale Creamery, where the award winning cheese is produced. It has a museum portraying the history of Wensleydale cheese making and also a viewing gallery to watch it being made.
You must visit 'The Little Chocolate Shop', where you can watch the wonderful world of chocolate making, and then eat it and buy as much as you like.
