With the East Coast mainline passing through Northallerton, the area is well served by the UK rail network and direct intercity trains are available to London and most major UK destinations.

Frequent direct services are also available to Manchester Airport on the Transpennine Express and to Hull to connect with the ferry port.

To travel to Ripon Racecourse by train, the nearest railway stations are at Harrogate and Thirsk.

  • Northallerton to London King's Cross - 2 hrs 40 mins
  • Thirsk to London King's Cross - need to change at York
