Bridlington is an ancient fishing port that has evolved into a cheery resort. Much quieter than somewhere like Scarborough, Bridlington’s major pluses are its two lovely beaches, and dignified promenades. Nearby at Flamborough Head you can explore the totally unspoilt coastal landscape, and see many colonies of seabirds. Filey to the north overlooks a six-mile wide beach, and marks the start, or end of the Cleveland Way National Trail.
