Howden is a picturesque town in what is known as the East Riding of Yorkshire, and boasts a lovely Minster Church, which is at the hub of a network of medieval alleyways. Market Weighton is an unspoilt market town, and is on the Hudson Way Walk, which follows the old railway line that ran between York and Beverley, taking in some lovely Wolds countryside. Pocklington is another attractive town on the fringes of the Yorkshire Wolds, and its main attraction is Burnby Hall Gardens, which is home to one of the finest collections of water-lilies in Europe.
