Things have gone pretty damn well for Manchester in the last 20 years, as the run down, post-industrial waste has been transformed into one of the country’s most vibrant cities. Some people might argue that the catalyst for change was Madchester, when bands such as the Stone Roses and Happy Mondays, and clubs like the Hacienda, put the city at the heart of the country’s youth culture. Whatever the reasons, the city is now awash with designer shops and trendy bars. Oh, and did we mention it is also home to one of the most famous football clubs in the world?
