The Port of Liverpool is one of the Uk's docks and is responsible for a third of all freight between the Uk and Ireland. The passenger terminals are situated on the Liverpool side of the Mersey. The P&O terminal provides crossings to Ireland and is located to the north of the city at Bootle. The Isle of Man Steampacket Terminal is located closer to the city centre offering ferry & seacat crossings to the Isle of Man.

The passenger terminals provide limited facilities which include:

  • Waiting area
  • Snacks & drinks
  • Gift shop
  • Toilets
  • P & O Irish Sea Ferries

Twice Daily crossings to Dublin, a crossing time of eight hours

Super Seacat Fast Ferries

Up to two daily crossings to Dublin, a crossing time of three hours 45 minutes

Isle of Man Steam Packet Company

  • Up to five daily crossings to the Isle of Man, a crossing time by ferry of four hours
  • Seacat crossings to the Isle of Man in around two hours 30 minutes

Norse Merchant Irish Ferries

  • Up to two daily crossings to Belfast, a crossing time of eight hours 30 minutes
  • Up to two daily crossings to Dublin, a crossing time of seven hours
