Bushmills and Surrounds

Bushmills is a good base for exploring the Causeway Coast and has a few perks of its own! There’s a lovingly restored railway that links Bushmills to the Giant’s Causeway visitor centre, 2 miles away. The railways, combined with good eateries and a great, cheap hostel in town, is enough for many visitors to stop here.

  • The town’s crowning glory, Bushmill’s Distillery, is the oldest legal whiskey distillery in the whole world, having been granted a licence approximately 400 years ago. There are many tours each day, showing the production procedure, complete with a complimentary whiskey sample and tasting session.
