North County Armagh

Overview

North County Armagh is Ireland’s main fruit growing centre and in the spring and summer is saturated with blooming colours, smells and flavours.

With plenty of its own attractions and plenty of accommodation and eatery options (see separate guide page), Armagh City is probably the best base for exploring the fruitful North of County Armagh.

  • With fine stately homes open to the public, classical Irish countryside surroundings, Ulster’s most important archeological site and the largest freshwater lake in the United Kingdom, there is plenty to see and do if your interest lies in the great outdoors, culture or history.
