Belfast City Hall is a magnificent Edwardian building, which was built to reflect the City's grand status, granted by Queen Victoria in 1888. The City Hall is also the home of the Belfast City Council.

  • Belfast City Hall was designed by Alfred Brumwell Thomas and built in Portland stone, the hall was completed in 1906. Take a public or private tour of the City Hall and learn more about the magnificent building and its gardens.

Belfast City Hall will be closed from 30th June 2007 for major refurbishment, the duration will be approx 24months.

Until 30th June Public Guided tours of our building take place: Mon-Fri at 11.00am, 2pm and 3pm. On Saturday 2pm and 3pm (entrance by Donegall Square South only).
