The Ulster Museum is a magnificent building situated in the Botanical Gardens in Belfast. This is a great day out for the whole family especially on one of those rainy days. The museum has many interesting and astonishing displays of fine art, natural sciences, history, world cultures and Archeology.

The Ulster Museum also features collections of birds, insects, molluscs, marine invertebrates, flowering plants, algae and lichens as well as an extensive archive of books and manuscripts relating to Irish natural history.

  • The Museum is closed until Spring 2009 for major redevelopment. Visit our website and look back at the story of the Museum in our Photo Album, find out about the project and share your own memories of the Museum with us.
