Pitlochry is a picturesque Victorian town set in the Perthshire Highlands amid some of the most beautiful scenery in the Europe. A popular holiday resort for over a hundred years, Pitlochry has a huge range of quality accommodation and a wealth of attractions and activities for visitors.

Pitlochry Hydro-Electric Power Station is famous for it’s salmon ladder, which enable salmon to by-pass the dam and make their way upstream. An observation chamber allows visitors to watch the salmon as the make their epic journey upstream. Approximately half a million visitors go to the dam and fish ladder every year, making it one of the top attractions in Scotland.

  • Pitlochry Festival Theatre's season runs from May to October, and at its height you can see seven plays in just six days. Discover the secrets of malt whisky making at Blair Atholl- one of Scotland’s oldest distilleries, and Edradour- Scotland's smallest distillery. The Pitlochry area is superb for walking with a network of well-signposted forest trails and designated mountain bike routes. The area also offers some of Scotland's finest salmon and trout angling, particularly on the scenic River Tay.
