Some of us want escape from the usual busy lives we are all so used to. Bhearnaraigh is exactly the place, with only 140 residents this is peaceful bliss.

Located just north of North Uist, Bhearnaraigh is about as secluded as it gets, a few tearooms are dotted along the main road including one in the community centre.

  • Spend your days lazing on the fabulous stretch of sandy beach or walk the fairly low-lying landscape of the Island. This is the kind of place you will come for a day or two to unwind and enjoy nature. If your looking for accomodation then try the GHHT hostel, it is two lovely black thatched houses right on the beach.
