Westray Heritage Centre

Westray Heritage Centre is located in the centre of the picturesque village of Pierowall in Westray.

The heritage centre opened in 1997, offering an insight in to life on Westray, with a wide collection of black and white photos and memories written for past displays. The centre also contains a range of information on Schools, Kirks, the Lighthouse, 50 years of North Isles Sports, Royal Visits, Sea Transport and World Wars.

  • The heritage centre also caters to children, who are able to follow Archie Aak to the hands-on models, which, like the permanent display, provide an insight in to Westray’s natural heritage.
