South Ronaldsay is one of the smaller islands off the East Mainland and is largely populated by rich farming land.

The former port of South Ronaldsay is St Margaret's Hope, a charming and quite stone settlement that is worth passing through.

  • If you do find yourself in the area, there are a few attractions to have a look at. Notably Mine Howe, an unusual site that has left archaeologist searching for answers and the chambered burial cairne Tomb of the Eagles.
