Stronsay almost resembles a British tropical paradise, minus the tropics! Turquoise water, long stretches of clean white sand and rolling verdant farmland come to mind when thinking of Stonsay.
All respect is paid to the ocean in Stronsay. The island boasts it's prosperity to the exportation of naturally occurring seaweed (kelp) that is strangely used for chemical industry and it's thriving history as a herring-fishing centre.
