Hawthorne House is a family-owned holiday house situated in the heart of the historic burgh of South Queensferry. Ideally situated for Edinburgh Airport, Edinburgh, Glasgow and the Forth Road Bridge that opens up the road.
Hawthorne House was built pre-1840 and has all the charm of a building of this age. It is situated within the conservation area of South Queensferry. Totally refurbished in 1997, the house has been tastefully decorated and has wireless Internet.
Guest rooms range from singles to a family room, a large spacious bedroom that can comfortably accommodate two adults and two children with the use of a guest sofa bed. The room is tastefully decorated and has en suite shower facilities.
Children upto and including the age of 3 stay free. Children over the age of 12 are charged as adults.
Info for Disabled
Due to age of premises, Hawthorne House is not suitable for most physically disabled. The house itself is situated on a terrace with a minimum of ten steps to a maximum of twenty on any of the four staircases leading up to terrace. The interior stairwell comprises of a steep turning staircase. Sincere apologies.
