All train travel to the Scottish borders is via Berwick-upon-Tweed; this is the only station serving the region. The east coast mail line carries trains travelling between London and Edinburgh.
To travel to the towns and attractions around the Borders, the railbus through ticket scheme covers the rail travel ticket cost plus onwards bus travel to Galashiels, Peebles, Selkirk and Hawick.
