Folklore has it that the Glasgow subway is known as the Clockwork Orange - due to its orange carriages and circular route with two tracks, clockwise and anti-clockwise. After London and Budapest the SPT Subway is the world's third oldest underground train. The Glasgow Underground links 15 stations around the south, centre and west of the city and is used by more than 14 million passengers.
Missed your station? Just stay on the tube train until it comes around again. A full circle, leaving from any station and arriving back at that same station, should take just under 25 minutes, with no more than two minutes between two adjoining stations. For the very brave and/ or foolish a sub-crawl involves getting off and having a drink at the closest pub to each subway station.
