Situated beautifully in the Old Ship Hotel - Brighton's oldest hotel - the REDZ Brasserie offers excellent views of the sea, surf and the whole passing scene, and is mercifully close to the Brighton Pier. With a gala reopening coming up, it would be jumping the gun to detail the decor and general loveliness of the place. We can say however, that it is a relaxed, informal, upmarket place that welcomes absolutely everyone. The menu is eclectic, and fans will be glad to know the all-time favourite, salt rock sirloin steak presented with green peppercorn and roasted garlic cream sauce will still be featured on the menu. Tempting wine list. A place to linger.Average price - £15-20
