Don't bother

What a hell hole

Posted by Angela from Eastbourne

I wish I had read the other person's review before we stayed there and can confirm it has not chaged since 2008.

It was filthy, the bed linen had been washed (hopefully) but had not been ironed, electrical leads trailed across the floor, the carpets were stinking and the level of overall cleanliness did not exist.

I would like to know where you got the photo of the pretty pink settee as it certainly was not at the establishment in Crawley. Where are trading standards, surely these conditions should not exist in Britain?

Breakfast we were assured was 7-10am. However not a person could be found to let us into the restaurant for breakfast. When my friend caught the cleaner coming in with some shopping she insisted that we had breakfast. This person spoke no English and tried to serve us raw bacon with fried egg. My friend had to raid the kitchen for butter and bread and we could not get a bowl for my other friend to have cereal, she ended up having it from a cup as we could not make anyone understand 'cereal bowl' nor could we find one after an extensive search of the kitchen and restaurant.

Total Con. - unbelievable!

Posted by Chad from Cowbridge, United Kingdom

Didn't even stay in this establishment but was taken to what could only be called a "Doss House" miles away. The car wasn't kept in a locked compound as advertised but left behind the row of shops for the week. Also when we returned from Holiday the battery was flat because the proprietor had left a light on in the car when he moved it from the front of the shops to the back and we had to call our the RAC to get it going again.

Celebrate - The National Poet of Scotland

Robert Burns

2009 marks the 250th anniversary of Scottish poet Robert Burns' birth. Burns was a poet and a lyricist and is widely regarded as the national poet of Scotland.

The Burns Supper was started a few years after his death by a group of his friends; they held the supper to honour and remember Burns. The tradition caught on and the ritual of Burns Supper is now held all around the world.

His life and work will be celebrated throughout the year at many Burns-related events.
