The Brighton, Worthing and Hastings region has excellent road links to all of the UK. The main motorway within the region is the M23; the A23 north from Brighton passes through Haywards Heath to the M23. The motorway then travels north to Crawley, past London Gatwick Airport to connect with the M25 London Orbital. The A27 travels along the south coast connecting Brighton with Worthing and Chichester to the west and Eastbourne to the east.
Many of the coastal towns such as Littlehampton and Worthing are highly built up, but are only served my minor single carriageways making travel fairly slow.
