Set within the inner park of the Appuldurcombe House, the Isle of Wight Owl and Falconry centre covers 3 acres with aviaries of Owls, Falcons, Hawks, Vultures and Kites. Flying displays feature top quality birds, interesting and informative commentary and last for approximately 40 minutes.
The shows take place at 11am and 1pm each day, and when the weather is good the Eagles, Vultures, Hawks & Falcons will be giving their dramatic flying displays over the sloping downland of the lovely Appuldurcombe Valley. The barn owl will show how it hunts in the dark and new to this year at certain displays, the senior falconer will demonstrate horseback Falconry.
The centre includes both indoor, and outdoor display areas, the Avairy café which serves hot and cold drinks, and lunches on site, can cater for corporate entertainment, both on site, and at other venues and can travel to outside shows, to perform falconry displays at fetes, schools, shows, and private functions.
