Isle of Wight Festival

The Isle of Wight Festival, one of England’s fantastic music festivals, takes place every year at the beginning of June, growing bigger and better each year. The 2007 festival had a fantastic line up with big name bands such as The Prodigy, Placebo, Foo Fighters and Coldplay.

As well as the bands the festival has a range of delights including funky bars, discos, market stalls and funfair rides, as well as limited camping close to the Festival site.

  • The Isle of Wight actually lays claim to the biggest ever rock festival in Europe when in 1970 over 500,000 rock fans flocked there to see Jimi Hendrix’s last live festival performance.
