By car, London is only 1 hour 45 mins away via the M3, which connects to the M25 London Orbital motorway. The M27 & A27 run between Portsmouth and nearby Southampton.
Southampton Airport, just 21 miles 25 min by car from Portsmouth centre, via the A3, M275, M27 and A335, provides air travel to over 22 scheduled European destinations. Handily located only one mile from Junction 5 of the M27.
There are three ports within the region. Portsmouth Southsea, has ferries and hovercraft that sail to the Isle of Wight, the Channel Islands, France and Spain. Southampton Ferry Port is a major UK ferry port and Lymington Ferry Port has ferry sailings to the Isle of Wight and berths for private yachts.
Travelling by train to the region will take between 1 hour 30 mins to 2 hours 30 mins from Paddington, Waterloo, London Bridge or Victoria train stations in London.
