Being a landlocked region, it is little surprise that there are no ferry ports within the area itself. Portsmouth and Southampton, however, both lie approximately 30 miles from Winchester, providing sea routes to mainland Europe, the Channel Isles and the Isle of Wight.

Southampton Passenger Ferry Port

One of the UK's busiest deep-water ports, Southampton is the UK's leading vehicle-handling port and has long been the UK's principal cruise port, with almost 400,000 cruise passengers passing through the port per annum.
