There is nothing better than sifting through the shelves of your favourite Boarders, Books etc. or Waterstones bookshop and buying a one of those novels that you just can't put down. Though be warned, you may find it hard to walk out the door without sinking your teeth into some juicy gossip found in the magazine section of these supermarket sized stores. Britain is also full of fantastic second hand bookshops where you can discover a pre- loved gem. Specialty genre book, DVD and video stores are also becoming popular and popping up in all major British cities. Better still, every major city and town centre in the UK has an extensive collection of literature in its local library. Be it research in book collections that go back hundreds of years or just browsing at your leisure there is a wealth of choice (and this is all for free!). |
