The Smithy and Tyhwnt Cottages are two lovingly restored properties, both are warm and welcoming and ideal for relaxing in after a day of sightseeing or activities. Within a short drive of both cottages are many castles, churches, historic sites, craft shops, markets and canal boating.
The Smithy is full of character with its beamed pitched ceilings, polished wood floors with under floor heating, perfect for those cooler months of the year. The cottage has three bedrooms, sleeps six people and a cot. The cottage is set in an acre of garden which attracts a lot of wildlife. The fully equipped kitchen is ready to use and the comfortable sitting room has a bottle-kiln chimney, with a large open hearth.
The Tyhwnt is a beautiful detached stone farmhouse, set in four acres of stunning gardens, with no sound other than, that of the sheep. The farm has three bedrooms, sleeps six plus one cot and a child’s bed. It is set on a southerly slope giving spectacular views of the Llanthony Valley. The open plan kitchen and dining room is fully equipped with everything you would need. The sitting room features a fireplace with stone lintel, large open fire with wood burning stove.
