The Aberystwyth Cliff Railway has been transporting visitors to the top of Constitution Hill since opening in 1896. The railway once operated on a water balance system, but was changed to electric in 1921. The carriages are hauled up to the top at four miles per hour, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the stunning views. On a clear day it is possible to see 26 mountain peaks across much of Wales.
