Powis Castle and Garden was built c.1200 by Welsh princess and perched dramatically on a rock above the magnificent garden below, this imposing castle has been adapted and embellished by successive generations of Herberts and Clives. It contains one of the finest collections of paintings and furniture in Wales and includes the Clive Museum, where many exquisite Indian works of art are displayed.
All visitors (inc. NT members) need to obtain a ticket from visitor reception in the main car park on arrival. A timed ticket system for the Castle may be in operation on BHols and busy weekends during July and August. Please note: dogs cannot be walked in the park which does not belong to the Trust
