Lying on the outskirts of Wrexham, the Clywedog Valley has always provided for the town - first agriculturally and later industrially. At its height there were 17 mills along the river.
There is now a 7-mile trail through a number of the old industrial sites known as the Clywedog Trail. Starting at the Minera Lead Mines and running to King’s Mill it follows the course of the river. It is a haven for walking, relaxation and enjoying the peace of the wildlife.
