The much-improved A55 expressway runs along the north coast of Wales from near Wrexham, past Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Prestatynto Llandudno, linking all the coastal resorts.

The A5 from Wrexham to Bangor passes through Llangollen, Betwys-y-coed and the Snowdonia National Forest Park, an area of absolutely outstanding natural beauty with some atrocious weather during winter.

Wrexham is less than 40 miles to the M54 and under 20 miles from the M56, forming a good road link into north Wales from the midlands and the north-west of England.
