Overview

Rhyl makes no bones about being a big resort and it is very popular, particularly with families from the northwest of England for whom it is within easy reach. With long stretches of sand and plenty for the children it is not hard to see why.

Rhyl has two of Wales’ largest amusement parks; Suncentre and the Ocean Beach Fun Fair and there is a mass of food and drink outlets such as Arbuckles American Diner, to keep you fed and watered.

  • This is a modern seaside resort with a multiplex cinema and a host of activities to try: cycling, bowling, go-karting, tennis, sailing, golfing, windsurfing, sea fishing and gliding, to name a few.

Things to do

  • See for miles from atop the 80m Skytower
  • Let the kids run riot - there is enough to keep them occupied for weeks
  • The Rhyl Suncentre is a great indoor water park with Europe's first indoor surfing pool
