Tywyn lies at the foot of the Cader Iris mountain range. The highest peak is Aran Fawddwy though Cader Iris is not much smaller at 2927 ft and better known. The town makes an ideal base when touring the Talyllyn and Dysynni valleys.

Tourist attractions are relatively few and far between, although the town does boast large stretches of sandy beaches. The Norman, Church of St Cadfan, is open to tour and has interesting examples of early Welsh text.

  • Broad water is a beautiful place to visit at anytime of year, it has views of the fantastic Snowdonia's mountains. If you enjoy bird watching this will be heaven for you, Broadwater has a range of wetland birds.
