Good roads connect the Port of Fishguard to the major Welsh roads, while rail & coach travel is possible to the town of Fishguard, which is approximately a mile to the southeast of the port. Local buses provide connections between the town & the port.
To reach the port by road from the south, the A40 connects via Haverfordwest to the A48 then the M4 near Swansea. From the north, the port is at the junction of the A40 & the A487 which travels south from Cardigan.
Direct trains run from Swansea, a journey time of around 90 minutes, which provides access from most major UK towns & cities.
National Express coaches travel to the ferry terminal from most major Welsh towns and cities as well as direct services from Bristol & London.
