The Shed at Porthgain is located right on the harbours edge; it is a small, intimate and unique eating experience. Originally opened as a teahouse, the business has expanded and is now able to seat thirty-four people for food. There is a bar and outside seating so that visitors can pop in for a refreshing drink and sit outside to take in the splendid views at porthgain.
Run by Rob & Caroline Jones there is a strong emphasis on customer service here, with a warm welcome to all visitors. Fisherman Rob catches much of the fish and shellfish that appears on the menu of this quayside restaurant himself. His wife Caroline is responsible for creating dishes like pan fried local bass fillet with beurre blanc sauce; and whole Porthgain Lobster Newberg - with dry sherry, fresh parsley and cream, topped with breadcrumbs.
