Penally is practically on the outskirts of Tenby, just a mile away. A quiet village it has been blessed with a vast expanse of wonderful sandy beach which is a perfect place to head on a hot summer's day (yes they have been known to happen from time to time in Wales!).

  • Above the beach the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path makes its way past Giltar Point to the excellent, if privately owned, beach at Lydstep Haven. For a small fee you can get access however and it can often be quieter than the main beaches in Tenby. If you keep going for another mile you will reach a small cove with the unliley name of Skrinkle Haven where camping is permitted.
