Different from most West Country coastal resorts, Weston-super-Mare has more traditional seaside amusements, like donkey rides on the beach, than its sleepy, unspoilt counterparts. Local attractions include Brean Down Nature Reserve, Sea Life Aquarium and the Helicopter Museum. For great views of the Welsh coast, across the Bristol Channel, make for Worlebury Hill, which was once an Iron Age camp.
