For ferry travel to Bristol, the closest ports are to be found at Poole in Dorset, and Swansea in south Wales. The main south coast ports at Portsmouth and Southampton are within 2 hours 30 mins drive via the M4 and M3.

Poole Port, Dorset

Easily accessible from Bristol, being a 76 miles, 2 hours drive from Weston-super-Mare via the A370, A38, A39, A37, A371, A357, A354, A371 and B3068.

The terminal has:

  • Regular ferries from Poole to Cherbourg and the Channel Islands

Swansea Port

  • Easily reached along the M4, approximately 80 miles from Bristol
  • Swansea - Cork Ferries sails between Swansea, South Wales and Ringaskiddy Co. Cork in Ireland
