Six miles to the North of Land's End is the village of St Just (St Just-in-Penwith, to give it its full title). It is fairly stark, grey town and historically was a tin and coal mining hub until the mines closure in 1990. The Geevor Tin Mine can still be toured but is probably best avoided by those suffering from claustrophobia.

Other attractions include the lighthouse at Pendeen, which is open to tour and interestingly enough, has the largest foghorn in England! The Levant Beam Engine, the oldest engine in Cornwall is also worth a visit for mechanics enthusiasts.

  • St Just shares the breathtaking coastline with Land's End and consequently supports prolific wildlife. The area has many picturesque walks both cliff-side and inland.
