Degembris, near Newquay in Cornwall, inspires imagination of former times, remaining an unspoilt gem of Cornish history. Built on the site of Degembris Manor, the earliest recorded date is 1241 as Tygembres, changing to Degembrys in 1461. The present farmhouse was built in the 16th to early 17th century of Kellas and Elvan with additions in the late 18th century.
