Liskeard is situated on the southern side of Bodmin Moor, which is the greener end with more dense woodland. It is a picturesque and lively market town with plenty of historical buildings to visit: a Stuart house where King Charles I stayed in 1644, Cornwall’s second largest church of St. Martin and the Victorian guildhall and clock tower.

St Neot is one of Bodmin's most attractive villages. Its highlight is its church, with some dramatic stained glass, in particular the Creation Window, which dates back to the 15th century.

  • A couple of miles form St Neot is Golitha Falls, one of the areas most picturesque spots. It features a river with rapids and some interesting bird life. Form here it is a short woodland walk to the lovely Siblyback Lake.
