Trains to east Cornwall pass down the Cornish peninsula via main line stations at Liskeard, Bodmin Parkway, Par, St. Austell, Truro, Redruth, Camborne and St. Erth.

First Great Western FGW is the main train operator in the east Cornwall region and runs regular services out of London Paddington through much of west England, including Newbury and Taunton, south Wales and Bristol, as well as areas such as the Cotswolds and Malverns.

Wessex Trains provides services which link Cornwall and Devon with the areas surrounding the West Country region, including Bristol, Cardiff and Southampton.
